The East Georgia Turf Farm has undergone many changes in the last couple
of years, most of them negatively affecting birding as the available
areas of sod are slowly developed into parts of a golf course and/or
becoming houses. There is very little sod remaining for shorebirds,
although some of the nearby areas are still fields or pastures and worth
cruising through if you are in the area, especially those roads south of
GA 46.
