National Audubon Society's Christmas
Bird Count Page contains general information concerning the
CBC, historical and current year's results, summaries,
trends...all kinds of great information!
John Shipman's Computer Applications in Wildlife Science Pages,
and of course the thousands of volunteers who collect the data each year for the National
Audubon Society, provided the groundwork for these pages. Raw data from the 1st CBC to the
90th CBC is also available at John Shipman's site. In many of the counts, "CW"
is used to indicate that a species was present during the count week, but could not be
located on the actual count day. Where applicable, I have included the unknowns
("sp.") numbers if they affect the outcome of the species count. Otherwise, they
are ignored.
The Christmas Bird Count Home Page of
the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center is perhaps the resource for graphical and
pictorial analysis of CBC data.
