Henslow's Sparrow
Henslow's Sparrow - This particular individual was found in a wet powerline right-of-way in McIntosh Co., GA, at the end of January. Henslow's Sparrows winter in small numbers along the Georgia coastal plain, but they are always difficult to find due to their secretive, skulking habits. This species may also be found in a powerline right-of -way in Paulk's Pasture Wildlife Management Area near Brunswick in Glynn Co. (Photo by James F. Flynn, Jr. - 26 January 1997 - McIntosh Co., GA)
Common Eider Common Eider - An unprecedented summer record, and one of the very few records for Georgia; first reported to the RBA on 26 July, this bird was originally discovered by Georgia DNR workers on Sapelo I. in early July and remained in the area until mid-October.
