The Green-breasted Mango was seen again early in the morning in the backyard of
Mrs. Rhodes. The directions are:
From I16 north take exit 42 (Dudley) and turn right into Dudley on US 80.
Go to the intersection with Airport Rd and continue straight through the
intersection into Dublin. Look for Springdale Rd on the left and turn left, go
about 1 mile to Cloverdale and turn right. Look for Montrey and turn right, the
houses where the bird is being seen are on the corner with Brookwood.
A report from Lake Acworth that the Common Goldeneye was not seen but 9 Redhead
and a Northern Pintail were as well as other species of ducks.

The Green-breasted Mango was see on Sunday, there were no reports on Monday and
one report Tuesday morning that an observer there from 7:40 am until 11:40 am
did not see the bird.
The Rufous Hummingbird at the same feeders in Dublin was seen Tuesday however.
A female Common Goldeneye was seen at Lake Acworth in NW Cobb County along with
several other species of ducks and an Osprey.

A Snow Goose was seen Monday at the Glennville Wastewater Treatment Plant. This
is at Delorme 54:C2. From Glennville go south on US 301 and turn left on Pecan
Rd. Continue on until you see the sign for the treatment plant however the plant
is only open to the public on Saturday mornings from 8-12. If you want more

The bird is seen occasionally in the afternoon but early morning seems to be the
better time.
A Black-chinned Hummingbird, an adult female, was banded in Locust Grove in

A Scoter, either White-winged or Surf, was seen at the Dekalb Reservoir on
Winters Chapel Rd. The observer was questioned by police twice and was unable to
get a positive identification.
A Lark Sparrow was relocated on Tybee Island on Friday. The bird has been found
on 6th street near the 4H Center on the marsh side of the road.

Just a quick update on the Green-breasted Mango being seen in Dublin. The bird
was reported on Wednesday coming to Mrs. Rhodes' feeder in the carport.
Early morning seems to be the best time to see the bird as most recent sightings

A third Ross's Goose has been reported this fall in Georgia. This bird was seen

The Green-breasted Mango in Dublin was not reported today but was seen twice
yesterday. The Rufous Hummingbird seen at the same feeders was not seen.
The address is 226 Brookwood Dr. and it is located at the corner of Monterrey
St. and Brookwood Dr. in Dublin. They may or may not be home, but birders are
welcome to just come sit on their deck and watch for the bird coming to their
feeder. If you do visit please sign their visitor log book.
An 'Audubon's' Yellow-rumped Warbler is coming to a feeder in Woodstock in
Cherokee County at the home or Rob Jacob's. While still classified as a
Yellow-rumped Warbler there is a good chance this bird will again be given
species classification. Please do not visit without calling first, 770-928-6968.

A Ross's Goose was seen on Pine Chapel Road in Gordon County NE of Calhoun.
(Delorme 13:G8) Going north on Pine Chapel Road from Crane Eater, Ga go to a
wetland area before you get to Moss Rd. and check the pond on the left.
Also seen in this are were 250 Sandhill Cranes flying over, a Merlin and 5
White-crowned Sparrows.
Off Cumberland Island 5,000-10,000 Black Scoters, 100 Surf Scoters and at least
1 White-winged Scoter were seen.
A White-winged Dove was seen in a yard on Tybee Island at the home of Diana
Churchill at 728 Catalina Dr.

A Western Kingbird was seen at the Altamaha WMA. The bird was seen near the same
area that the Snow Bunting (not seen recently) was being seen. Going south on US
17 cross 2 rivers onto Butler Island. On the left you'll see an observation
tower. Walk to the tower and turn right, go to an intersection of dikes and turn
left, then right at the next one. This is the general area the bird was seen.

LINCOLN'S SPARROW, GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK, AMERICAN
BITTERN, WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, GLOSSY IBIS, MOTTLED DUCK, BLUE-WINGED TEAL,
GREEN-WINGED TEAL. Other good birds from the coast include AMERICAN WHITE
PELICAN, NORTHERN PINTAIL from the Andrew's Is causeway and an "IPSWICH"
SAVANNAH SPARROW, "BLUE" SNOW GOOSE, and BLACK SCOTER from Jekyll Is. For

The bird seems to be most easily seen early am at the Rhodes' carport feeders
the other side of Monterrey drive from the Jacksons'.

The state's first GREEN-BREASTED MANGO which is still being seen in Dublin today

The female VERMILION FLYCATCHER was seen again at the Bradley Unit of Euafula
NWR (Stewart Co.) Nov 4. It was missed last weekend so may move about a bit.

Single WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS have been reported from the E.L. Huie facility in
Clayton Co. and from Carters Lake, where a MERLIN was also seen. Also larger
numbers have been seen at the reliable N GA location of Fite Bend Rd near
Resaca.

WOOD STORKS and a HORNED GREBE were seen Nov 3 at Merry Brothers Brickyard Ponds
in Augusta.

It may be an invasion year for RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH, PURPLE FINCH, PINE SISKIN,
with widespread sightings (mainly from feeders) in the N part of the state.
TURKEY VULTURES and SANDHILL CRANES are being seen migrating south through the
state.
