Several people have birded Pine Log WMA in Bartow (Del 9:C10). This is a
good place to bird migration. Black-throated Green Warbler, Yellow-throated
Warbler and Blue-headed Vireo have been seen recently.

A Red Crossbill was seen at the Piedmont NWR in Jasper County. Also seen and
heard were Bachman's Sparrow, Yellow-throated Vireo and Yellow-throated
Warbler. To get to this location from Forsythe take I75 and go east on Juliet Rd
to the refuge. Go over the river and continue to Lt. Rock Wildlife Drive on
right. Just before you reach the wildlife drive there is a road on the left
which leads to where the crossbill was seen. You probably should not try this
road in a car but an SUV should do alright.

The Green-breasted Mango present since October in Dublin continues and has now
molted into adult plumage.

American White Pelicans, a Black-necked Stilt and Horned Grebe were seen from
the Andrew's Island Causeway.
At Lake Lanier an Eared Grebe in breeding plumage was seen from Tidwell Park. A
Horned Grebe was also seen.

The Say's Phoebe was seen in Cobb, GA in Sumter County. From the intersection of
I75 and US 280 go west on 280 from Cordele about 5 miles to Cobb, look for the
sign for Cobb-Cheek Rd and go right. Continue until the pavement ends and the
phoebe has been around the chain link fence on the right.

One Snow Goose was seen near Columbus, 1 mile N of the intersection of GA 219

A Little Gull was seen at Lake Lanier by birders looking for American White
Pelicans that had been seen there. The bird was seen from the boat ramp at the
end of Pilgrim Mill Road. Take GA 400 exit 16 and go east on Pilgrim Mill Road
until it dead ends at the boat ramp. However, birders did not see the gull later
in the day. It was with Bonaparte's Gulls and may be moving around the area.

17 Greater White-fronted Geese were seen on Fagala Rd. in S. Murray County.
Take I75 N to exit 316 and turn right onto GA 225. Go east then north to the
intersection with GA136 and continue straight for 1 mile to County Line Rd and
turn left. Just past a one lane bridge is Fagala Rd. on the right.
