Greater Shearwater -Transcript

A GREATER SHEARWATER was seen on 6/14 from St. Catherines Sound. On
6/16, another (or possibly the same) GREATER SHEARWATER was observed
from St. Catherines Island.
A belated report, on 4/16 a “PACIFIC” BROWN PELICAN (west coast
subspecies of Brown Pelican) was seen on Little Egg Island Bar.
On 6/11, at least 100 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were observed roosting
on a dredge island between Jekyll Island and Brunswick.
On 6/18, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS were
seen along Hale Ridge Rd., Rabun Co.

An AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN made an appearance at the EL Huie Land
Application Facility Ponds, Clayton Co., on 6/1.
Later in the day on 6/1, and AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was seen at Lake
Acworth, Cobb Co.
On 5/29, a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was seen at Gould’s Inlet, St.
Simons Island, Glynn Co.
On 5/31 a WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER was seen at the American Proteins
facility in north central Forsyth Co.
A WILLOW FLYCATCHER was seen along the powerline cut at EL Huie on
5/30 but was not seen the next day.
A female CONNECTICUT WARBLER was banded at the Joe Kurz WMA,
Meriwether Co. on 5/28.
Two GRAY KINGBIRDS continue at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. On 5/27, a BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO was reported from Rabun Bald, Rabun Co. Two COMMON RAVENS were reported from Brasstown Bald on 5/28. On 5/29 18 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were observed passing over the Altamaha SWMA from the Champney Island observation platform. |
