1998 Snow Geese Sightings

The Fall of 1998 brought a somewhat dramatic influx of Snow Geese (Chen caerulescens) into Georgia. This page chronicles the flurry of sightings reported in mid to late November. The map to the left shows where Snow Geese were reported, along with the date and number of individuals.

1998 Snow Goose Sightings

Beginning 12 November 1998, a strong cold front swept through the state. By the end of the month, reports of this species tailed off almost as dramatically as they had started.
