Jeff Durden observed this Merlin on several different occasions during from mid-November 2007 through mid January 2008 near Lake Juliette in the Rum Creek WMA, Monroe Co.  As is sometimes the case with this species, the bird was quite tolerant of Jeff's presence and easily approachable.  It was seen in the same general area at dawn or  within an hour of sunset.
