These photos were taken in mid January by Connie Madia, at the feeders in her yard. The bird appears to be an immature female Baltimore Oriole based on the obscured olive-brown head pattern and orange-yellow coloration on the underparts, strongest on the central area of the breast. Pale immature orioles can be quite a challenge to identify, so comments are welcome to the Georgia Birders Online Listserve (GABO-L) or webmaster@gos.org. |
