On Friday, 28 January 2005, Walt Chambers located at least four Lapland Longspurs on one of the Columbus Water Works application fields near Oxbow Meadows, Columbus, Moscogee Co.  Walt explained that sorting through thousands of American Piptis (Anthus rubescens) over the past several years had finally paid off!
